Linux Administration
This is the first session on linux administration taken by me and Abhishek on the behalf of F.O.S.S under open source society uit,burdwan.Here, the topics discussed are as follows :-
- Introduction to the linux kenal and Operating System
- Installing a linux destro on virtual machine :- In this section we have started our discussion with the installation process of Operating System( we have used Ubuntu 16.04 LTS) in virtual machine . Here we have found many issues related with Virtualisation technology(since by default the laptop vendors disable it to avoid the administration privilege) to enable this feature in a system one must go to BIOS setup and change the virtualisation technology's flag to enable mode. Now the process starts.

- Install VMware in your window system . click here for installation steps
- Installing ubuntu in vmware . click here for installation steps
- Now ubuntu is installed in your virtual machine
- change the display size of ubuntu desktop (16:9) is recommended size
